Interns and Volunteers

The Sirleaf Market Women's Fund occasionally has unpaid internships or volunteer opportunities in New York, USA, or Monrovia, Liberia during the course of the calendar year. To be considered for these positions, you should possess excellent writing skills, and should be well-organized, flexible, attentive to detail, and able to work both independently, including off-site, and as part of a team.

If you are interested in supporting SMWF's work in this way, please send the following by email to

  1. Your CV;
  2. A one page statement which outlines why you are interested in volunteering or interning at SMWF, any relevant experiences you have had, how you think you can contribute to our efforts, what you expect to gain from working with SMWF, any special skills you have and the time-frame, days and times you expect to be available;
  3. A brief writing sample (maximum four pages); and,
  4. Three reference letters with the professional titles, contact numbers, and email addresses of your referees.
